BattleFold has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. I do not collect, receive or store any data about you. The only thing that can leave your device is your achievement progress, if you are signed in to Game Center. That is explained below.
The game saves the player names, the running score between you, your settings and your achievement progress locally on your device only, using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). Nothing is stored about where you placed your ships after a match. This data is removed when you delete the app.
BattleFold uses Apple's Game Center for achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, your achievement progress is sent to Apple. That is the whole exchange.
This is handled entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. I have no server involved and I receive nothing. If you are not signed in to Game Center, or you turn it off in iOS Settings, the game plays exactly the same and nothing is sent anywhere.
On the iPhone Duo, the game reads whether the device is open or closed, and the hinge angle, to know when the turn changes. This is used only on the device, in the moment, and is never stored or sent.
The app collects nothing about anyone, children included. Note that Game Center is Apple's service: parents can restrict or disable it under iOS Screen Time.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
